Job Description The Real Estate Owned Disposition Analyst is responsible for reducing the credit losses thru the effective disposition of REO properties. REO Disposition Analyst will participate in the Loss Mitigation process and is responsible for the accurate calculation of loss reserves. Additionally, the REO Analyst is responsible for coordinating the efforts with a fraud recovery firm. - Market properties owned by the Bank and or its Investor’s in the most timely and cost efficient manner, this includes the negotiation of contracts. - To administer eviction actions with Attorney’s Realtors and Property Preservation companies - Determine the Fair Market Value of residential real estate by analyzing Appraisals and Realtors Broker Price Opinions - Coordinate the placement of Liability and Hazard Insurance - File and settle Mortgage Insurance Claims - Complete all Accounting functions - Ensure compliance with Departmental and Corporate Polices - Compile and maintain department reports - Manage departmental filing system - Monitor industry change - Availability to travel nationwide to inspect properties - Member of the Loss Mitigation team in reviewing alternatives to foreclosure with an emphasis on reviewing market values - Determine and set appropriate Loss Reserves during various stages of default - Coordinate the recovery process of loss producing loans with an outside fraud recovery firm - Participate in Customer Service Overflow Queue. Requirements: Must possess excellent analytical, negotiating, organizational and communication skills. Manage a nationwide network of Realtors, Attorneys, Appraisers, Title Insurance Companies, Property Preservation Contractors and Investors and Insurers. Effectively negotiate real estate contracts. Interpret repair estimates to determine the most cost efficient and highest recovery on a property by property basis. Experience: Complete understanding of Mortgage Servicing Operations with 2 years of Default experience. Previous REO experience preferred. Experience with Fidelity/Magnifide Loan Servicing a plus.
